COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UNLV sophomore golfer Sunny Oh has been named the Mountain West Conference Golfer of the Month for April, the league announced Wednesday.

Oh, of Seoul, Korea, earns the award for the second time this season and the third time in her career. The latest honor comes on the heels of her three-stroke victory at the BYU Dixie Classic where she led the Rebels to a tournament crown and two school records.

Earlier this week, Oh qualified to play in the LPGA Takefuji Classic in Las Vegas, becoming the first Rebel to play in a LPGA Tour event.

The Rebels, ranked No. 20 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index, have completed their regular season. They head to Sunriver, Ore., next week to compete in the MWC Championship.
