OPELIKA, Ala. - The No. 14 UNLV women's golf team shot 302 as a team in the third round of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship to move to 45-over par for the tournament.
The Rebels are tied with Purdue for 21st overall heading into Friday's final round and trail leader UCLA by 51 strokes.
"We've struggled with this course a little bit and with our own game," head coach Missy Ringler said. "Tomorrow we want everybody to come out and give their best score of the tournament."
UNLV's team score was a combination of a 72 from Sunny Oh, a 75 from Hwanhee Lee, a 77 from Seema Sadekar and a 78 from Young Pak. Elena Kurokawa's 81 was discarded.
For Oh, the par round marked her second of the tourney. The Rebels' top player is tied for 18th individually at three-over par. She trails UCLA's Susie Mathews and Oklahoma State's Karin Sjodin for the lead by 11 strokes.
The Rebels will tee off for their final round at 8 a.m. CDT.
