Looking as if they have finally adjusted to the injuries that have decimated the lineup for the beginning of the season, the UNLV women's basketball team (7-5) comes into Saturday's game against High Point on a three-game win streak, and have been explosive on offense, scoring over 90 points in back-to-back games for the first time since the 1993-94 season. Even more impressive is that the Lady Rebels played both games with only nine available scholarship players, as six players sat out the games with injuries. The game against the Panthers (4-7) will be played in the Cox Pavilion at 3 pm, and it will be autograph day for the Lady Rebels following the game.

Senior forward RanDee Henry, the leading scorer in the MWC in 2003-04, has found her groove on offense again after struggling to begin the season, having scored 20+ points in three straight games and four of the last five for UNLV, and is one game away from tying her career record of four straight 20+ games, set last season against Wyoming, Air Force, New Mexico, and BYU. She's not the only one finding her way on offense in the new year, as freshman Sequoia Holmes has back-to-back games of career-high 14 points, and was one of six players posting double figures in the win over Canisius on Sunday.

After turning the ball over 20 or more times a game in five of the first six contests of the season, UNLV has gone under 20 turnovers in its last six games, including a season-low 11 against UNR.

Saturday's game is the sixth of a seven-game homestand for UNLV, after its 92-66 win over Canisius on Jan. 2 in the Thomas & Mack Center. Following the High Point contest, UNLV hosts Northern Colorado before beginning Mountain West conference play with three straight road games.
