LAS VEGAS - RanDee Henry finished with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds to pace UNLV to its fourth straight win, 82-51 over High Point in women's collegiate basketball action on Saturday afternoon from the Cox Pavilion. The win improves UNLV to 8-5 on the year, while High Point fell to 4-8. The 31-point margin marked the third straight game the Lady Rebels won by more than 25 points, and was the third straight game over 80 points.
UNLV scored 10 of the first 12 points of the game, and led 31-12 with 7:33 to play in the half. A 9-0 Panther run brought High Point within 10 points at 31-21, and it was a 39-25 edge for UNLV going into halftime.
Charlena Martin's jumper at 17:42 of the second half cut the lead to single digits, 40-31. The Lady Rebels then blew the game open with a 24-2 run over the next three minutes. Henry scored the first five points of the run, and then Sheena Moore scored 10 straight. Following back-to-back treys from High Point, UNLV ran off nine unanswered, with Moore's layup at 8:46 giving the Lady Rebels a 64-37 edge.
Joining Henry in double figures was Moore with 15, and Brittney Thomas, with a career-high 11 off the bench. Sequoia Holmes added nine points and 11 rebounds, while Pace finished with eight. UNLV shot 43.9% for the game, and were 7-of-19 from behind the arc. The Lady Rebels held a 47-40 edge on the boards, and finished with a season-high 14 steals.
High Point was paced by Katie O'Dell with a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. Martin finished with a team-high 12 points, while Chan Ingram added 11, including nine off treys. The Panthers were held to just 21-of-67 from the floor (31.3%), and turned the ball over 24 times.
UNLV concludes its seven-game homestand with a Thursday night contest in the Cox Pavilion against Northern Colorado at 7 pm.
