UNLV Hits Three-Game Skid With Loss To Wyoming

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Jovon Bouknight had seven catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns lead Wyoming to a 42-17 victory over UNLV on Saturday.

The Cowboys (4-1, 2-0 Mountain West Conference) executed one big scoring play after another, while the Rebels (1-4, 0-2) struggled with penalties, collecting 10 to lose 53 yards.

Wyoming had touchdown catches of 29, 31 and 34 yards - as well as an interception by Derrick Martin to score from 10 yards out.

Cowboys quarterback Corey Bramlet was 21-of-27 for 315 yards. UNLV quarterback Jarrod Jackson, who started for the injured Shane Steichen, was 26-of-48 for 239 yards, but was intercepted twice.

Trailing 42-3, the Rebels scored their first touchdown with just under 3 minutes left, when Casey Flair caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Jackson. After an on-sides kick, UNLV scored again when Greg Estandia caught a 2-yard pass in the end zone with 32 seconds left.

Before that, the Rebels' only score was a 29-yard field goal by Sergio Aguayo in the second quarter to make it 14-3.

Wynel Seldon finished with two rushing touchdowns for the Cowboys.
