The UNLV women's basketball team (11-10, 2-5 MWC) hosts San Diego State (7-13, 1-6) on Saturday afternoon not only looking for its eighth-straight win at home, but also hoping to break a two-game MWC losing streak and to move up a notch in the conference standings. After two straight wins at home, including a 63-60 upset of first place New Mexico, the Lady Rebels lost a tight contest at Utah and followed with a setback at BYU to close out the first half of the MWC slate with a 2-5 mark. The game will be played in the Cox Pavilion with a 3 pm start.

The Lady Rebels will get a chance to avenge a loss suffered in their MWC season opener and salvage a split with the Aztecs. After SDSU broke a nine-game losing streak to UNLV by hitting 59% in a 76-60 win in San Diego on Jan. 12. They also will try to get their offense back on track, after averaging just 51.5 points and shooting 33% from the field. UNLV still leads the league in scoring at 68.7 ppg, and is second in field goal percentage at 42.9%.

Saturday's game is the first of three-straight at home in the Cox Pavilion for the Lady Rebels. They were the only team to play five road games in the first half of the MWC season, and are also the only team with five home games in the second half. This will be the first MWC games played in the Cox this year, as wins over New Mexico and Air Force were played in the Thomas & Mack Center.

Junior guard Sheena Moore became the 14th Lady Rebel to score 1,000 points at UNLV in the game at Utah, and senior forward RanDee Henry is on pace to become the 15th, as she is 92 points away with at least eight games left to play this season.
