The UNLV women's basketball team (13-10, 4-5 MWC) have the chance on Saturday to successfully avenge an earlier conference loss for the third-straight game as they host the Wyoming Cowgirls (14-9, 5-5) at 3 pm in the Cox Pavilion. UNLV began the season with three-straight losses on the road at San Diego State, Wyoming, and Colorado State, but have begun the second half of the MWC schedule with wins over both San Diego State and Colorado State to earn splits in the season series with each team. A win over Wyoming would not only split that season series as well, but would be the third-straight for UNLV, and its 10th-straight at home, as the Lady Rebels have not lost in Las Vegas since an 86-78 overtime loss to now No. 19 Iowa State on Dec. 19.

One factor in UNLV's current win streak is its dominance on the boards. In the past two games, UNLV has outrebounded its opponents by an amazing 50 combined rebounds. In the 71-58 win over Colorado State on Thursday night, UNLV held a 20-5 edge on the offensive boards, which led to a 24-7 advantage on second chance points.

Saturday's game is the third of three-straight at home in the Cox Pavilion for the Lady Rebels. They were the only team to play five road games in the first half of the MWC season, and are also the only team with five home games in the second half.

Junior guard Sheena Moore became the 14th Lady Rebel to score 1,000 points at UNLV in the game at Utah, and senior forward RanDee Henry is on pace to become the 15th, as she is 56 points away with at least six games left to play this season.
