UNLV Hopes For Grand Results In Grand Canyon State

LAS VEGAS - UNLV women's golf continues its spring season at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Ariz., which gets underway on Feb. 21 with the 14-team field playing 36 holes Monday.

UNLV head coach Missy Ringler's lineup will be made up of Hwanhee Lee, Elena Kurokawa, Seema Sadekar, Young Pak and freshman Allison Chell. UNLV senior Christine Hentzer will compete as an individual, but will not count in UNLV's overall team score.

Last year's team champion Vanderbilt will be back at the invitational to defend its team title. The Commodores won the team title with an overall score of 869 on the par-72, 6,134-yard Arizona National Golf Club.

The No. 25 Rebels are one of seven top-25 teams in the tournament, including No. 2 Arizona State, No. 3 UCLA and No. 7 Oklahoma State.

Monday's opening rounds get underway at 7:00 a.m. (PST) with a shotgun start. After completion of that opening round, the second round will begin. The teams will close the tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday.
