Moore Steady During First Day At The Masters

April 7, 2005

AUGUSTA, Ga. - UNLV senior golfer Ryan Moore played 11 holes on Thursday at the rain-delay shortened first day of the Masters and made 11 pars to go into the clubhouse at even-par as darkness suspended the first round.

Moore, who is playing in his second Masters, currently is the top amateur player in the tournament and sits in a 16-way tie for 11th place that includes former Rebel golfer Adam Scott.

Former UNLV golfer Chris Riley is tied for ninth place at 1-under through 15 holes and sits just three shots back of leader Chris DiMarco, who shot 4-under through 14.

Chad Campbell, who also is a former Rebel, is tied for 47th at 3-over through 10 holes.

The first round is scheduled to resume at 6:45 a.m. PDT on Friday.
