AUGUSTA, Ga. - After completing just 11 holes on Thursday, UNLV senior golfer Ryan Moore finished his opening round on Friday at the Masters and is 1-under par, four shots off the lead in a five-way tie for ninth place.
Former Rebels Chris Riley and Adam Scott are also in the tie for ninth, while former Rebel Chad Campbell is tied for 26th at 1-over.
Rain got in the way of play for the second straight day and halted second-round play. Moore, along with a handful of other golfers, has yet to begin his second round of play. The second round will resume on Saturday beginning at 5 a.m. PDT.
Over the last two days, Moore, who is playing in his second Masters and is currently the top amateur, parred each of the first 14 holes before recording a birdie on the par-5 15th hole. He then birdied the par-3 16th to move to 2-under before giving back a shot at the par-4 17th. He parred the 18th to finish his round with a score of 71.
