LAS VEGAS - Top-ranked Stanford's Celia Durkin easily downed UCLA's Laura Gordon 6-2, 6-0 on Sunday to win the top-flight singles title of the Freeman Memorial Women's Tennis Championships at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV.

In doubles, top-seeded Alice Barnes and Anne Yelsey worked overtime to get by second-seeded Kady Pooler and Roxanne Clarke of Arizona State 9-7 to also give the Cardinal the doubles crown. Pooler and Clarke joined the doubles final with an 8-2 semifinal win over Amanda Fink and Carine Vermeulen of USC earlier in the day while Barnes and Yelsey advanced by default.

A rare afternoon rainstorm stopped play and some matches were not finished while others were not played because they involved teammates.
