The UNLV women's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday night, as they take on Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo., at 6 pm (PST) in Clune Arena.

The Lady Rebels (11-5, 3-2) look to start another win streak and move back into the top half of the conference standings against Air Force (10-7, 1-5) after a disappointing home loss to Utah on Saturday. The game will also be the first of two straight and three out of four on the road for the Lady Rebels, as they will next play at 18th-ranked New Mexico on Saturday night.

While UNLV has dominated Air Force in the all-time series, the Falcons have already posted the most wins in their Division I history, bringing a 10-7 mark into the game. They have just one conference win this year, in overtime over San Diego State, but had 18th-ranked New Mexico on the ropes before the Lobos rallied in the final minutes to escape with a win.

Though the Lady Rebels' scoring has dropped off this season, with a 65.7 ppg average through 16 games to rank fifth in the MWC after leading the league in scoring in 2003-04 and 2004-05, UNLV is at the top of the league in several defensive categories. The Lady Rebels are currently leading the conference in blocks (4.4 bpg) and are second in both rebound margin (+6.6), and steals (10.50 spg).

One key for UNLV in the game could be its rebounding, as the Lady Rebels have now been outrebounded by their last two opponents by an average of eight against Colorado State and Utah. Air Force is currently tied for UNLV for second place in rebound margin as well.

With their win over Colorado State, the Lady Rebels are now just four wins away from their 600th win in program history, a mark only 34 schools have reached in NCAA history.
