TCU at UNLV GAME NOTES

Nov. 4, 2006

-UNLV lost its eighth consecutive game, 25-10, in what was TCU's first trip to Las Vegas since 1998. The Horned Frogs now lead the all-time series between the schools 4-1. The Rebels fell to 21-18 all-time in Homecoming games.

-The Rebels ran for 100 net yards or more as a team (118) for the first time since the season opener vs. Idaho State.

-Kip Facer's 78-yard punt in the second quarter tied for the second-longest in school history (Jim DiFore vs. Cal State Los Angeles in 1972). The UNLV record is held by Brad Faunce, who booted a 91-yarder vs. UNR in 1994. Facer continues to turn in an all-conference season, hitting five kicks for a 52.0-yard average, finishing over 50 for the second consecutive game.

-Sergio Aguayo's second-quarter 52-yard field goal tied his career-long. He also booted a pair of 52-yarders in a win last year over San Diego State. Aguayo just missed another 52-yard attempt earlier in the game. The junior is the third man in school history to make three field goals longer than 50 yards in a career: Nick Garritano had four and Jim Cook had three.

-Cornerback Eric Wright lined up on offense for the Rebels for the first time, first at wideout and then taking a few direct snaps at quarterback, usually handing off. In the third quarter, Wright kept the ball for a 34-yard rush.

-WR Ryan Wolfe finished with 63 yards on three receptions. He now has 704 yards receiving on the season, which is the second-most ever in the Mountain West Conference by a freshman. He needs 68 more yards in the final three games to break BYU's Austin Collie's league record (771 in 2004).

-Casey Flair has now caught a pass in every game of his college career (20 games) and has at least three receptions in all nine games of 2006. He finished with four catches for 51 yards vs. the Horned Frogs.

-TCU PK Peter LoCoco was the second kicker this season to make four field goals against UNLV, joining UNM's Kenny Byrd on Oct. 14 (back-to-back games at Sam Boyd Stadium).

-RB David Peeples' first-quarter 42-yard run was a career long and the longest by a UNLV player this season.

-Senior safety Jay Staggs turned in a career-high 13 total tackles despite playing with a cast on his hand.

-Two young Rebel defenders turned in career high in tackles: freshman linebacker Jason Beauchamp (11) and true freshman safety Starr Fuimaono (10).
