UNLV HEADS TO ARIZONA: The Rebels start their spring season this coming Monday at the Wildcat Invitational at Tucson, Ariz. This will be the fourth-straight year that UNLV has participated in this tournament and this year's field has 11 of the top 15 teams in the country according to Golfweek.

THE FIELD: Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, California, Duke, Georgia, Nevada-Reno, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oregon, Pepperdine, Stanford, Tennessee, UCLA, UNLV, USC, Vanderbilt and Washington

UNLV AT LAST YEAR'S WILDCAT INVITATIONAL: The Rebels finished 8th at last year's Wildcat Invitational, the second-highest finish at the tournament for UNLV. Elena Kurokawa came in tied for 8th as an individual and that was the beginning of five-straight top-10 finishes for her as she went on to win MWC Player of the Year honors.

REBEL RANKING: The UNLV women's golf team is currently ranked 12th in the country in Golfweek's latest rankings. The highest ranking for the Rebels this season has been eighth, marking the first time in the Rebels' history that the program had been in the top 10. UNLV started the season ranked 14th in Golfweek's preseason poll.

THE LAST REBEL TOURNAMENT: UNLV women's golf wrapped up its fall season in November with a fifth-place finish at its own Las Vegas Founders Collegiate Showdown as the Rebels finished with a three-day total of 874 (+10) at Anthem Country Club. Da Sol Chung was the Rebels' highest finisher, as the freshman tied for fifth with a total of three-under 213 after she shot a final-round one-over 73. It was the best showing for Chung in her short Rebel career, one that already included two seventh-place finishes. Seema Sadekar also cracked the top 15 for the Rebels, finishing tied for 11th after an even-par third round (72) left the junior at even par (216) for the tournament. Grace Woo (221, +5) shot a one-over 73 to finish tied for 28th, Elena Kurokawa (224, +8) came in tied for 38th and Allison Chell (243, +27) came in 76th. The Rebels also had three players competing as individuals, with the Young Pak having the best finish of the trio, as she came in 79th (247, +31). Chelsea Pendleton finished 80th (254, +38) and Erin McGough came in tied for 82nd place (259, +43). Pak and McGough are seniors while Pendleton was a redshirt freshman who was playing in her first tournament for UNLV.
