After finishing the first half of the Mountain West schedule at 5-3, the UNLV women's basketball team look to build on their its over TCU as they take on Wyoming on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm (PST) in Laramie.

UNLV already has a win over the Cowgirls this year, 65-56 in Las Vegas, but Wyoming has shown they are a strong team at home this year, highlighted by a 68-67 win over TCU. The game is important in several ways for the Lady Rebels, as a win would keep them in a tie for third place in the conference. It would also be the third win of the year on the road in league play, one year after UNLV finished just 1-6 in road games in the conference.

One big factor for UNLV will be the recent play of senior forward Sherry McCracklin, who looks to be finally back in top shape after missing all of last season with a torn Achillies. In the past two games, McCracklin has posted 15 and 16 rebounds, and she scored 21 to lift the Lady Rebels to their win over TCU. She also leads the MWC in league play in field goal percentage at 54.5%.

Formerly the MWC's top scoring offense (2003-04, 2004-05) UNLV is at the top of the league in several defensive categories. The Lady Rebels are currently leading the conference in blocks (4.39 bpg), are second in steals (10.44 spg) and third in rebound margin (+5.6) and field goal defense (37.8%).

With their win over TCU on Feb. 2, the Lady Rebels are just two wins away from their 600th win in program history, a mark only 34 schools have reached in NCAA history.
