LAS VEGAS - UNLV women's golf released its 2006-07 schedule and two home tournaments highlight the slate, which includes five fall and four spring tournaments for the three-time defending Mountain West Conference champions, head coach Missy Ringler announced Wednesday.

The Rebels open the season on the road at the Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., on Sept. 11-12 and then will play in the 2006 Fall Preview in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Sept. 22-24. The tournament will be played at the Legends Course at LPGA International, the same location for the 2007 NCAA Championships.

From there the Rebels will then travel to the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Seattle, Wash., on Oct. 9-11 before hosting the fifth-annual Las Vegas Founders Collegiate Showdown on Oct. 30-Nov. 1. The tournament will once again be played at Anthem Country Club in Las Vegas, Nev. UNLV will then wrap up its fall slate by traveling to Hawaii for the Aloha Purdue Collegiate Invitational on Nov. 22-23.

UNLV begins its spring season at the 2007 Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Ariz., on Feb. 26-27 before hosting the UNLV Spring Invitational on March 12-14 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev. It will be the third-consecutive year that the Rebels have hosted their own spring tournament.

The Rebels will then travel to Tempe, Ariz., for the Ping ASU Invitational on March 30-April 1 and from there UNLV will head to the Indiana Invitational, held April 9-10.

The MWC Championships will be held in St. George at Entrada at Snow Canyon on April 19-21 and the Rebels will be attempting to win their fourth-straight conference crown. The NCAA West Regional is May 10-12 also at Entrada while the NCAA Championships are May 22-25.
