The UNLV women's basketball team enters Saturday's contest not only looking to extend its current three-game winning streak against San Diego State, but also hope to break an unusual streak of its own this season, in the game to be played in the Cox Pavilion at 7 pm.

Thus far this season, UNLV has yet to win or lose more then two straight games, beginning with two losses to open the season. The Lady Rebels then won their next two, and that has repeated itself throughout the first 13 games. UNLV even managed to keep the streak alive last week, breaking a two-game losing streak with an 89-71 rout of 19th-ranked DePaul, followed by a 14-point win over in-state rival Nevada, Reno. TCU dropped the Lady Rebels 88-63 in the MWC conference opener on Wednesday, so a UNLV win Saturday would break that streak.

UNLV also looks to get back to .500 both overall and in league play, and have had good success recently against the Aztecs, having won 12 of the last 13 games. The Lady Rebels' last six wins in the series have been by an average of 17.2 points per game. This is a much better SDSU team however, as it opened the season with its best start in 10 years at 7-3.

The Aztecs have struggled on offense in their last two games, as they were held below 50 in both games, losses to top-25 George Washington and in their MWC opener at Utah. UNLV meanwhile has scored 60 or more in its last seven games, and has averaged 76.3 ppg over its last three contests. UNLV is also 6-1 when outrebounding teams, while SDSU has a -2.8 rebound margin this year.
