Final Results

UNLV sophomore Natasha Krishna's hole-in-one was the highlight for UNLV, as the Rebel women's golf team wrapped up at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Sunday afternoon at the Stanford Golf Course.

Krishna's ace came on the third hole, a 166-yard par 3 that was part of a three-over 74 final round and she helped UNLV to a team total of 939 (+87) as the Rebels finished 17th. Krishna was the highest finisher for the Rebels, coming in tied for 25th with a total of 223 (+10).

No. 4 Arizona State used an eight-under final round to come from behind and win the team title with a score of 862 (+10), four strokes better than No. 2 Duke, which had a team total of 866 (+14) after leading over the first two rounds of the tournament. Stacy Lewis of Arkansas won medalist honors with a score two-under 211 and then the next three spots belonged to individuals from Arizona State.

Alejandra Guacaneme was next, tying for 67th with a score of 237 (+24), Tonya Choate came in tied for 75th with a score of 242 (+29) and Nicole McGirr rounded out the Rebels with a score of 255 (+42) to finish 92nd. Rebel freshman Therese Koelbaek was disqualified in the final round after officials ruled she was using the wrong type of distance measuring device, causing the Rebels to fall from being tied for 11th down to 17th as a team. Koelbaek had shot a final-round 73 but her score could not be counted as part of the team score.

Of the 18 squads that participated in the Stanford Intercollegiate, 11 were ranked among the nation's top-30 teams recognized in the latest edition of the Golfweek rankings, including top-ranked UCLA, second-ranked Duke and No. 4 Arizona State. No. 23 New Mexico was the only other Mountain West Conference team in the field.

UNLV will now host the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at Angel Park Golf Club on Oct. 29-31.
