PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - UNLV's fifth-ranked doubles team played its first match of the season on Thursday and lost in the first round of the main draw at the 23rd Annual Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Tennis Championships.

Elena Gantcheva and Kristina Nedeltcheva, both of Sofia, Bulgaria, were defeated 8-5 by Northwestern's Lauren Lui and Samantha Murray. The Lady Rebel duo gets another chance, however, as consolation play begins Friday morning.
