LAS VEGAS - UNLV junior men's golfer Seung-Su Han has been selected the Mountain West Conference Men's Golfer of the Month for September, the league announced Thursday.
Han, an Incheon, South Korea, native, finished second at the Shoot-out at Angel Park, helping the Rebels to a team title in his only appearance of the month. He had rounds of 68-70-70, to finish at five-under-par 208 on the 6,722-yard Angel Park Golf Course in Las Vegas.
Han finished just one shot back of individual medalist Brandon Crick from Gonzaga.
A two-time All-MWC golfer, Han posted a 69.33 scoring average for the month and currently leads the conference in that category for less than 12 rounds played.
This marks Han's second career golfer of the month award. Previously, he earned the honor in Nov. 2005 as a freshman.
UNLV will be back in action, Oct. 8-9, at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate in Birmingham, Ala.
