LOS ANGELES - The UNLV men's tennis team dropped its final non-conference match of the season, 6-1, at No. 7 Southern California at Marks Tennis Stadium Friday afternoon.
The Rebels fell to 7-10 overall.
The Trojans began the day by sweeping doubles for one team point. In singles play, UNLV's 59th-ranked Elliot Wronski allowed 107th-ranked Kaes Van't Hof to rally for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win at the top position.
The visitors were also competitive at the bottom of the lineup as freshman Luca Barlocchi downed Garrett Snyder 7-5, 1-6, 1-0 (10-2) in a super-tiebreaker at No. 6 for his team's lone point. Another Rebel freshman, Slavko Bijelica, was nipped by Jason McNaughton 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 on court five.
UNLV will open Mountain West Conference play vs. BYU in San Diego on March 29.
