ST. GEORGE, Utah - NCAA West Regional Results
UNLV women's golf remained in 17th place following the second round at the NCAA West Regional, as the Rebels have a two-round total of 629 (+61) at the tournament that is being played at Entrada at Snow Canyon.
The Rebels' round on Friday was highlighted by the play of freshman Natasha Krishna, who shot a one-over 72 to move up the leader board by 27 spots and is currently tied for 23rd with a total of 149 (+7). Krishna is one of four players who are playing in their first NCAA Regional for UNLV, which has made five-consecutive regional appearances.
Oklahoma State moved into the lead and has a two-round score of 581 (+13) on the par-71, 6,234-yard course, which is good for a six-shot lead over Stanford. Pernilla Lindberg of Oklahoma State remained at the top of the leaderboard and has a 36-hole score of six-under 136 after she shot 68 (-3) for the second straight round.
Rebel senior Seema Sadekar followed her strong opening round of one over with a second round score of 76 (+5) for a total of 148 (+6) and is currently tied for 18th heading into Saturday's final round. This is the fourth regional tournament for Sadekar and she is the lone Rebel to have played in a regional before this year's tournament.
UNLV freshman Melissa Mabanta has a 36-hold total of 167 (86-81, +25) and is currently in 96th, sophomore Kasi Lee has a total of 168 (87-81, +26) and is currently in 97th and sophomore Nicole McGirr has a two-round total of 171 (84-87, +29) and is currently tied for 100th.
