UNLV vs Hawaii Game Notes 9-15-07
Tonight's crowd of 38,125 was a sellout and it marked the first time in UNLV history that the Rebels enjoyed back-to-back sellouts at Sam Boyd Stadium. Last weekend 38,250 fans watched UNLV play then-No.5/5 Wisconsin.
The crowd was also the fourth-largest for a UNLV game in Sam Boyd Stadium history.

Including bowl games and conference championships, it was also the seventh-largest crowd to ever watch a football game at Sam Boyd Stadium. The Sam Boyd Stadium record was the 44,615 fans that watched BYU defeat Oregon in last year's Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl.
The crowd was also the sixth sellout in UNLV history and just the second that was not played against the Wisconsin. UNLV's game against in-state rival Nevada, Reno last season was a sellout, drawing a crowd of 37,179.
Saturday's game against No. 24/22 Hawaii marked the first time that UNLV played ranked teams back-to-back at home after the Rebels played then-No. 5/5 Wisconsin last Saturday night. It was also just the second time in program history that UNLV played two ranked teams in a row, as the Rebels traveled to play No. 14/14 Tennessee and then to No. 21/22 Wisconsin to open the 2004 season.
Junior running back Frank Summers scored the game's first touchdown, a six-yard reception that was also the first receiving score of his career.
That score gave UNLV a 7-0 lead and it marked the third-straight game that the Rebels opened the scoring to start the season. During the 2006 campaign, the Rebels only scored first in three of 12 contests.
Rebel sophomore wide receiver Jerriman Robinson made his first career catch, a six-yard reception in the first quarter that resulted in a third down. Robinson is a transfer walk-on from Texas Southern.
No less than 17 professional scouts (15 NFL and two CFL) were credentialed for tonight's game, which tied the UNLV all-time record from Hawaii's most recent trip in 2003.
UNLV wide receiver Casey Flair finished the game with one reception, bringing his consecutive games streak to 26 games. The junior has now caught at least one pass in every game of his Rebel career.
UNLV senior wide out Aaron Straiten hauled in five balls for a career-high 85 yards.
UNLV freshman walk-on Omar Clayton became the first QB other than Travis Dixon to play this season and scored his first collegiate touchdown, scampering in from 31 yards in the fourth quarter.
Rebel senior place-kicker Sergio Aguayo suffered his first missed field goal of the season after hitting his first five.
