Adelaide, Australia - UNLV women's golfers Natasha Krishna and Therese Koelbaek finished play Saturday at the 2008 World Amateur Team Championships, which was held in Adelaide, Australia.
Krishna, a junior for the Rebels, played for New Zealand, while Koelbaek, a sophomore, was part of Denmark's squad at the four-day tournament. The tournament was played on two different courses at the Grange Golf Club and included a field of 48 international teams. Each country's team had three players, and the top two scores from each round were counted toward the team score.
Following Saturday's final round Denmark tied for eighth with a score of 587 (+7) and New Zealand came in tied for 21st with a team score of 603 (+23). Sweden won the team title with a 561 (-21), and were led by Caroline Hedwall, who earned medalist honors with a score of 280 (-10).
Koelbaek posted a strong score of one-under 71 to finish tied for 27th overall with a total of 299 (+9), and Krishna tied for 72nd with a score of 308 (+18). Koelbaek had five birdies on her round, her best of the tournament.
