LAS VEGAS - The Mountain West Conference announced its Men's Basketball 10th Anniversary Team on Monday. It was selected by a combined panel of media, institutional and conference personnel and with an online fan poll. In order to be eligible for consideration, candidates must have been an All-Mountain West First Team selection at least once in their career.
Current Runnin' Rebel Wink Adams and former star and current member of the NBA's Miami Heat Marcus Banks were UNLV's representatives on the team. Adams and BYU's Lee Cummard were the only members of the team still active in college.
Anniversary teams will be chosen for each of the 19 conference-sponsored sports during the 2008-09 season in celebration of the Mountain West's 10th anniversary.
