-UNLV faced a ranked team for the fourth time this season, which is the most in program history. The Horned Frogs improved to 6-1 all-time vs. the Rebels with a 44-14 victory that marked the Rebels' fifth-straight defeat. TCU continues to be the only team that UNLV has not beaten in MWC play.
-Although it took him until the final Rebel drive, senior WR Casey Flair's 15-yard grab extended his school-record streak for games with a catch to 44, which ranks second in the nation behind only Jarett Dillard of Rice, who now is at 45.
-Junior WR Ryan Wolfe's four catches moved him past Earvin Johnson (2001-04) into third place on the UNLV career receptions list with 184. He is just three behind second place (Damon Williams 1995-98) and nine behind teammate Casey Flair, the school's current catch king with 193.
-UNLV sophomore QB Omar Clayton threw his fourth interception of the season in the first quarter on a tipped pass. Three of his four interceptions have been tipped balls while the other came on a Hail Mary attempt to end a game.
-TCU muffed a punt that UNLV's Chris Brogdon recovered, which marked the first turnover recovered by the Rebels since the first quarter at Colorado State on Oct. 4 - a span of 12 quarters. Brogdon recovered another mishandled punt later in the game.
-The Rebels converted the first turnover into a score on a 15-yard pass from Omar Clayton to Rodelin Anthony. UNLV ended the night 2-3 in the red-zone, which improved the Rebs to 27-29 this season with 24 touchdowns. Last year, the Rebels scored only 15 TDs in the red zone.
-Clayton's throw was his 18th touchdown pass of the season, which tied for fourth-most in a season by a Rebel and is the most since Jon Denton tossed 18 in 1997.
-Clayton was knocked out of the game early in the third quarter with a knee injury. He finished with nine rushes for 29 yards and 5-13 for 45 yards passing, including one pick and one score.
-Freshman sensation WR Phillip Payne, who has seven scores and is just one away from the MWC record for TD receptions by a freshman, did not play vs. TCU because of injury.
-Senior RB David Peeples got his first three carries of the season vs. TCU and closed the scoring in the game with a one-yard touchdown. It was the Las Vegas native's eighth career rushing score but his first since 2006.
-UNLV committed a season-high three turnovers (two lost fumbles and one interception) vs. TCU. The Rebels had come into Saturday tied for the national lead with only six giveaways this fall.
-UNLV LB Jason Beauchamp's 11 total tackles vs. TCU means the junior now has posted double-digit takedowns in his fifth straight game.
-While QB Omar Clayton was not sacked in the game, backup Mike Clausen was sacked three times in relief of the starter, which marked a season-best by a UNLV opponent in 2008. The Rebels had allowed only eight sacks all season coming into the game.
