UNLV dropped to 4-4 with its third straight loss, all on the road, while the Beavers improved to 6-1, and 4-0 at home this season.

The Beavers then put the game away with a 19-2 run, going up 82-48 on another Rhea three-pointer with 6:20 to play.

UNLV's Shamela Hampton, who entered the game leading the MWC in scoring, was in foul trouble the entire night and played only 19 minutes before fouling out with just two points. Halberg and Smith both scored 13 points to lead UNLV, while Erica Helms added seven points and India Chaney six. The Lady Rebels shot 43.8% (21-of-48) for the game, were 5-of-14 (35.7%) from three-point range, and made 7-of-12 at the line (58.3%).
