COMPLETE SECOND ROUND RESULTS
UNLV freshman Therese Koelbaek fired her second-straight sub-par round, but overall the Rebels had a rough round of play at the UNLV Spring Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
The Rebels entered the day with the lead but shot 14-over 302 on their round on the par-72, 6,204-yard course, dropping them to sixth place after 36 holes with a score of 586 (+10). Washington State has the team lead with a score of two-under 574, good for a three-stroke lead over BYU (577, +1). Cathryn Bristow of Oregon and Kelly Nakashima from Idaho share the individual lead with scores of six-under 138, heading into the final round.
Koelbaek carded a one-under 71 for the second straight day and is currently tied for sixth overall with a 36-hole score of 142 (-2). It was another steady day of golf for her, as she rolled in a pair of birdies to go with just one bogey and 15 pars.
Natasha Krishna is just out of the top 20, sitting tied for 21st with a two-round score of 146 (70-76, +2) after she shot a four-over 76 on her round today. Kasi Lee is close behind with a score of 148 (70-78, +4) which has her tied for 29th overall.
Alejandra Guacaneme is currently tied for 40th with a score of 150 (73-77, +6) while Tonya Choate rounds out the Rebel scorecard after the second day tied for 80th with a score of 159 (81-78, +15). UNLV also has a pair of individuals playing in the tournament, with Melissa Mabanta (75-78--153, +3) tied for 57th and Nicole McGirr (87-81--168, +24) in 93rd place.
UNLV and the rest of the 18-team field finishes up play in the 54-hole tournament tomorrow, with teams beginning to tee off on holes one and 10 at 7:30 a.m. (PT) at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
