UNLV Women's Golf Tournament Notes 
OFF THE TEE: UNLV begins its postseason this week at the 2008 Mountain West Conference Championships, being played this year at the Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M. The first round of the championships begins Thursday at 7:30 a.m. (PT), with the second round on Friday and the final round on Saturday. This will be the seventh MWC tournament that UNLV will play in, as the Rebels first season as a program was 2001-02. In those six years, UNLV has won the team title three times (2004-05-06) and has had three individuals win medalist honors (2004-05-06). Last year TCU won the team title, becoming the first team other than UNLV or New Mexico to win the team title.

THE FIELD: BYU, Colorado State, New Mexico, San Diego State, TCU, UNLV and Wyoming.
THE COURSE: The 54-hole event will be played at the Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M., marking the first time that the league tournament will be hosted by New Mexico's home course. This will be the second time this year that the Rebels have played the course, as they competed in the 2007 NCAA Fall Preview back on Sept. 24-26 to open the season, where they finished 18th. This will also be the same course that the 2008 NCAA Golf Championships will be played at on May 20-23.
