Final Wildcat Invitational Results 
The UNLV women's golf team finished in 13th place following Tuesday's final round at the Wildcat Invitational on Monday, which was played at the Peninsula Golf Club and hosted by Arizona.
The Rebels posted a team score of 921 (311-310-304, +49) and were 10 strokes from moving into the top 10 of a field that featured nine top-25 teams among the 17 that played, including four teams that are in the top 10 of Golfweek's latest rankings.
Top-ranked UCLA had a wire-to-wire team victory, as the Bruins finished with a team score of 869 (287-295-287, +5), good for a nine-stroke victory over Arizona State and USC. Jodi Ewart of New Mexico and Lizette Salas of USC tied for medalist honors with scores of 213 (-3), respectively over the three-day tournament.
UNLV was led by the sophomore Alejandra Guacaneme, who shot a 36-hole total of 226 (76-75-75, +10), and she finished with another player in a tie for 28th. Rebel junior Natasha Krishna (77-78-74--229 +13) and sophomore Therese Koelbaek (76-80-73--229 +13) finished in a group that tied for 33rd. Koelbaek's 11 birdies in the tournament tied for the most recorded on the par-72, 6,146-yard course.
Rebel freshman Kristen Schelling finished 67th with a score of 236 (82-77-78, +21) and junior Melissa Mabanta came in 86th with a score of 257 (88-88-81, +41).
UNLV will be back in action on March 3-4, traveling to the 2009 Wave Invitational, which is hosted by Pepperdine and played at Moorpark Country Club in Moorpark, Calif.
