SEASIDE, Calif. - UNLV women's golf is in fourth place after two rounds of play at the 2009 Mountain West Conference championship, which is being held at the Black Horse Golf Course in Seaside, Calif.

The Rebels shot 314 (+26) on Friday for a team total of 620 (+44), and they trail New Mexico by 22 shots, as the Lobos have a two-round total of 598 (+22) heading into tomorrow's final round. First-round leader Jonelle Martinez of Wyoming remained at the top of the leader board with a 36-hole score of 145 (+1), which is good for a two-stroke lead over Jodi Ewart of UNM, who is sitting at two-over 147.

Just three shots back for the individual lead is UNLV sophomore Therese Koelbaek, who has a two-round total of 148 (72-76, +4), and she is in a group of three golfers that are currently tied for third.

Fellow sophomore Alejandra Guacaneme is tied for 15th after shooting her second-straight six-over 78, and she has a two-round score of 156 (+12) after two days of play. Rebel freshman Kristen Schelling is tied for 18th with a score of 157 (79-78, +13), junior Natasha Krishna is tied for 23 rd with a 159 (77-82, +15) and freshman Bethany Glassford is tied for 31st with a 164 (81-83, +20)

The Lobos have a nine-stroke lead over TCU (607, +31), while BYU (618, +42) is third, followed by UNLV, Colorado State (621), Wyoming (626) and San Diego State (627). Tomorrow's final round begins at 7:30 a.m. (PT), and UNLV is part of the second group, along with Colorado State, that will tee off at 8:20 a.m,
