The UNLV women's golf coaching staff lent its expertise in the game to fellow Rebel coaches in a clinic on Monday at Boulder Creek Golf Club, helping newcomers to the sport learn the basics.

The clinic consisted of lessons on full swing, chipping and putting, and the object was to help coaches and others become prepared and comfortable playing in UNLV golf outings, and Rebel women's golf coaches Missy Ringler and Amy Bush were the instructors. Nicole Dutt PGA Professional and Executive Director of the Southern Nevada Golf Association also assisted during the clinic.

A total of 13 ladies participated in the clinic, including coaches Kathy Olivier, Kari Duperron and Elizabeth Linkous from women's basketball, Yvonne Scott-William and Tamara Ards from women's track and field, Katherine Mertz and Jennifer Klein from women's soccer, Allison Keeley and Elaini Kollias from women's volleyball. Associate athletic director Lisa Kelleher, Sara Swanson from football, and Lisa Levine from academic advising also participate.

The morning was very educational and fun for all who attended and another clinic is tentatively planned for the fall.
