LAS VEGAS - UNLV junior Natasha Krishna has been selected the Mountain West Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for April, the second time that Krishna has earned the award in her career.
Krishna finished first at the Indiana Invitational earlier this week and helped the Rebels to their second team victory of the season, as the first was at the beginning of March at the UNLV Spring Invitational. She finished 9-over 225 (75-74-76) on the 6,179-yard Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Ind., battling against snow, rain and wind. Krishna won the tournament by four strokes over second-place Elise Swartout of Western Michigan (74-76-79--229). It marked the second medalist honor of Krishna's career, as she won the 2006 Aloha Collegiate.
Krishna currently ranks third in the MWC for stroke average (73.20) and second on her team.
