HONOLULU, Hawaii (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's basketball player Lenita Sanford will sit out at least this week's games in Hawaii after being indefinitely suspended due to a violation of team rules and standards, Lady Rebel head coach Kathy Olivier announced on Tuesday.
Sanford, a junior forward in her first year on the team, has started all 11 games this year, and is averaging 8.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.
UNLV plays its next game on Tuesday night against Cal State Bakersfield in the first game of the Pepsi Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii.
