LAS VEGAS - Three UNLV seniors have been invited to participate in the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine (National Invitational Camp), which begins later this month at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Former Rebel stars Ryan Wolfe (wide receiver), Joe Hawley (offensive lineman) and Jason Beauchamp (linebacker/end) are all expected to be part of the more than 300 elite invitees to attend what has come to be known as a four-day job interview with the NFL. Wolfe, who shattered nearly every UNLV receiving record during his four seasons on campus, will be limited in what he can do while continuing to rehabilitate from a foot injury suffered in November.
Top executives, coaching staffs, player personnel departments and medical personnel from all 32 NFL teams will be on hand to evaluate the nation's top college football players eligible for the upcoming NFL Draft, which will kick off in primetime for the first time in 2010. The first round will be held on Thursday, April 22 at 4:30 p.m. PT. The second and third rounds are set for Friday, April 23, beginning at 3:00 p.m. PT. Rounds 4-7 will be held on Saturday, April 24 beginning at 7:00 a.m. PT.
The NFL Scouting Combine, which will again be televised by NFL Network, will be held February 24-March 2, 2010.
