SALT LAKE CITY - The UNLV Rebels softball game scheduled for this afternoon in Salt Lake City against the Utah Utes has been postponed due to inclement weather and poor field conditions at Ute Field. The game will be rolled into Saturday, which creates a doubleheader between the Mountain West Conference foes. First pitch tomorrow is slated for 11:30 am MT (10:30 am PT).

This is the third straight year that the Rebels and Utes have had to alter the original schedule of events in the Beehive State due today's similar reasons. In 2008, the squads were forced to play a doubleheader at Utah Valley University in. Last year, the teams moved their single-game, televised contest to the west side of SLC at Salt Lake Community College.
