Latest Rankings Include Rebels

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's golf team is ranked ninth, 11th and 13th in the country in the latest men's collegiate golf polls that were all released this week.

The Rebels are ranked ninth by Golfstat, 11th in the Golf World/Nike Golf Coaches' Poll and 13th by Golfweek.

The top 10 in Golfstat: Oklahoma State, Stanford, Washington, UCLA, Texas A&M, Oregon, Texas, Augusta State, UNLV and Florida State. The top 10 in the coaches' poll: Oklahoma State, Stanford, Washington, Texas A&M, Oregon, Texas, Augusta State, UCLA, Arizona State and Illinois. The top 10 in Golfweek: Oklahoma State, Augusta State, Stanford, Texas A&M, Washington, Texas, UCLA, USC, South Carolina and Florida.

UNLV is coming off a tie for eighth-place finish at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational that was held April 2-3 in Tempe, Ariz. The Rebels have competed in 10 tournaments so far this year and have recorded six top-five finishes, including four team victories. The last time UNLV won four or more tournaments in a season was in 1998-99 when the squad won five events.

UNLV's next tournament will be April 23-24 in Provo, Utah, at the PING Cougar Classic and will then compete at the Mountain West Conference Championships, May 6-8, in Tucson, Ariz.
