LAS VEGAS - UNLV women's golf had a program-record five members named to the 2010 Spring Academic All-MWC team, the league announced this week. The previous high was four honorees.
Alejandra Guacaneme and Therese Koelbaek earned the recognition for a third consecutive year, while Bethany Glassford and Kristen Schelling were honored for the second straight year. Mandi Incorvaia was selected for the first time.
To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MWC team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team.

The MWC Scholar-Athlete Award is the highest academic honor bestowed by the conference. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in an NCAA-sponsored sport.
Stephanie Whatley (Sophomore, 3.91, Public Administration) was also named a MWC Scholar-Athlete.
