LAS VEGAS - UNLV's Rumyana Terzieva won her match Saturday to earn the host team's only victory of the day at the ninth annual Freeman Memorial Tennis Championships being played at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

Terzieva won her match over Oregon's Lana Buttner 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 and was declared co-champion of flight two singles along with teammate Ella Bourchier, who won her match Friday.

Sunday's flight one singles championship will be a battle between the event's top two seeds as third-ranked Maria Sanchez of USC and 22nd-rnaked Olivia Janowicz of Florida both won twice on Saturday to set up the title tilt.

Players from eight of the elite college programs in the United States have gathered on campus for what is one of the game's top individual tournaments each season.

Action Sunday will begin with doubles at 10 a.m. PT. Admission to all matches is free.
