LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com)
- The UNLV women's golf team looks to finish the fall portion of its 2011-12 schedule on a high note, traveling to Austin, Texas to compete in the 38th Annual Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, Oct. 31 - Nov. 2.

UNLV will compete in the two-day tournament for the fourth time in program history and first since the 2003-04 season when the Rebels placed fifth overall. The Rebels were 12th in 2002 and tied for seventh in the 2003 edition of the annual tournament.

"We had a really good week at our home tournament and feel like we have a lot of momentum heading into the final fall tournament this coming week," said head coach Amy Bush. "Our girls are excited to play in a highly competitive field and look forward to the challenge ahead of them."

The field of 15 teams includes four in the Top 25 of the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings. In addition to host Texas, the field includes Arizona (20), Arkansas (42), Denver (40), Florida (10), Iowa (36), Kent State (37), Mississippi State, New Mexico (39), Oklahoma State (5), Pepperdine (41), Princeton, Tulsa (38), UNLV and Wisconsin.

Monday and Tuesday will feature a split-tee start at 7:15 a.m. PT while Wednesday's final round will get underway beginning at 7:45 a.m. with a shot gun start.

UNLV's lineup will consist of freshmen Dana Finkelstein, Mayko Chwen Wang, sophomores Katerina Prorokova and Charlotte Brooks and senior Bethany Calvo.

Finkelstein captured her first top-10 finish and second straight top-15 finish at this past week's UNLV Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The Chandler, Ariz. native carded a career-best round of 70 on day one before finishing tied for eighth.

Wang picked up her second straight top-20 finish this week, carding her lowest round of the season with a 1-under 71 on day one before going on to tie for 20th overall. Prorokova matched her season-low round of 3-under 69 and tied for 26th overall while Brooks posted a season-low 71 in second round action and had her highest finish of the fall in a tie for 36th.
