Final Scores and Standings
SEATTLE (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team concluded action at the 30th Edean Ihlandfeldt Invitational held at the Sahalee Country Club in Seattle, Wash., finishing ninth with a total of 933 (+69).
Colorado held off Oregon for the two-stroke team title while host Washington finished in a tie for third with California and Oregon State fifth.
Dana Finkelstein topped her career-low score for the second straight day, firing a 1-over par round of 73 today. The Chandler, Ariz. native carded 15 pars and one birdie on the day while tying for the highest finish by a UNLV golfer, tying for 12th with classmate Mayko Chwen Wang.
Wang carded a 2-over par round of 74 for the second time in three days. Teeing off No. 10 to start, Wang bogeyed the 12th and 16th before finishing the par-5, 18th with a birdie to make the turn at 1-over. Another birdie on the par 5, 2nd pushed her to even on the round before a double bogey on the final hole.
Katerina Prorokova moved up eight slots on the board to finish in a tie for 37th following her final round 77 while Marguerite Swearingen tied for 51st and Charlotte Brooks 60th to round out the Rebel lineup.
Madeleine Sheils (Nebraska) started the day four shots back, but turned in the lowest round of the tournament, a 5-under 67, finishing at 2-under par to take medalist honors by a stroke over Jennifer Yang (Washington) and Cassy Isagawa (Oregon).
The Rebels will take a hiatus from tournament action until the end of the month when they host the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown Oct. 24-26 at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
