LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team received a National Letter of Intent from German native Anna-Lena Kramer, marking the only signing for the class of 2012 announced head coach Amy Bush.
"Anna-Lena is a very accomplished golfer," said second-year head coach Bush. "She is very excited to be a Rebel and we are excited to welcome her to our family. I have no doubt she will develop into a leader for our team and work hard to ensure the continued success of the program."
The Aldorf, Germany native is the second member of her family to dawn the Rebel Red, joining her older brother Max who was a member of the men's golf team from 2009-11.
Kramer most recently competed in the girls team European Championship and Turkish Amateur Championship this year, helping guide the German squad to a fourth place finish while posting a top 10 finish at the TAC.
In 2010 Kramer finished 13th at the Scandinavian Championship and eighth at the German Ladies Championship. She posted back-to-back fifth-place finishes at the German Ladies Championship in 2008 and 2009. She also carded a runner-up finish at the Harder German Junior Masters in 2009.
No stranger to international competition, Kramer has competed in the British Girls Championship three consecutive years, twice winning her first-round match in the match-play portion of the tournament and finishing 17th most recently.
