LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's golf team will travel to Provo, Utah, for the PING Cougar Classic, which will be played at Riverside Country Club (par 71, 6,902 yards) on Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16.

The 18-team tournament will consist of 36 holes played on Friday and a final round of 18 holes taking place on Saturday. Play will begin at 8 a.m. MT each day. The field consists of Air Force, Boise State, BYU, Colorado State, Fresno State, Idaho, Nevada, Reno, Northern Colorado, Pacific, Southern Utah, UC Davis, UNLV, Utah, Utah State, UTEP, Washington State, Weber State and Wyoming.

Playing for the Rebels this week will be junior Derek Ernst, sophomore Kevin Penner, freshman Blake Biddle, junior Colby Smith and sophomore Arthur Kim. That is the same lineup that finished third as a team last weekend at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational in Tempe, Ariz.

Last year's Cougar Classic was won by Colorado State at 14-under. Host BYU was second at 12-under, followed by UNLV in third at 6-under. The individual title was captured by Nevada, Reno's Jared Becher, who won by two shots at 10-under. UNLV was led individually last year by Ernst, who finished seventh at 4-under. Penner tied for 10th at 2-under, while Smith is the only other returning Rebel to the tournament - he finished tied for 13th at 1-under.
