Day One Team Standings l Day One Individual Standings l Day Two Tee Times
HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team wrapped up action on the first day of the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate tournament at the Half Moon Bay's Ocean Course.
The Rebels stand in 10th place after playing 36 holes today. 27th-ranked Texas A&M leads the field of 12 teams after shooting 20-over during the first and second rounds. Co-host and 37th-ranked Oregon and Long Beach State are tied for second at 25-over par while No. 31 Colorado is fourth (+28) and Texas Tech rounds out the top five in fifth at 30-over par.
"I thought the girls played well today given the conditions and grueling slate of having to play 36 holes in a single day," said first-year head coach Amy Bush. "We will get some rest tonight and look to finish strong tomorrow in the final tournament before the MWC Championship."
Senior Therese Koelbaek leads the way for the Rebels, standing in a four-way tie for 13th place at 6-over par. Natalie Reeves (Texas A&M) is the leader in the clubhouse after day one following a 1-under par second round to conclude the day at even par.
Lauren Weaver (Northwestern) is in second at 1-over par while Emily Talley (Colorado) is third at three-over par. Heading into tomorrow's final round there are 12 players within six shots of the lead, including Koelbaek.
Tomorrow's final round will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start on the Ocean Course.
