Austin, Texas (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team is tied for ninth place after the second day of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational which is being played at the par-72, 6,143 yard University of Texas Golf Club. The Rebels are 11-over-par 587 (291-296) after playing round two on Monday.
UCLA leads the field at 13-under 563 (281-282) and has a three-stroke lead over Arizona State at 10-under 566 (283-283). Miami sits third at 8-under (276-292), Iowa State is fourth at 3-under 573 (291-282) and Mississippi State is fifth at 1-under 575 (284-291).
UCLA's Alison Lee (69-68) and Mississippi State's Jessica Peng (67-70) lead all individuals at 7-under 137. Iowa State's Cajsa Persson sits third one stroke back at 6-under 138 (69-69).
Junior Dana Finkelstein leads the Rebels and is tied for fifth at 4-under 140 (71-69) after shooting 3-under in the second round. She turned in a score of 69 on Monday, which is the lowest single round of her career.
Other Rebels competing: freshman Vivian Chen is tied for 41st at 4-over 148 (70-78). Junior Mayko Chwen Wang is tied for 43rd at 5-over 149 (75-74). Junior Marguerite Swearingen is tied for 61st at 8-over 152 (75-77) and freshman Avery French is tied for 79th at 12-over 156 (80-76).
