Why
The mission of the Jerry Tarkanian Legacy Project is to honor the career and contributions of Hall of Fame basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian to the game of basketball, UNLV, and Southern Nevada. The project has covered the funding of the design, creation and installation of the statue and will establish a scholarship fund in his name. All funding for the project has come from private donations.
