LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -- Five players, including a trio of Las Vegans, were voted UNLV's permanent team captains for the 2013 season, head coach Bobby Hauck announced Tuesday.

After a vote by players, senior linebackers Tim Hasson (Las Vegas/Cimarron-Memorial HS) and Tani Maka (Long Beach, CA/Jordan HS) joined senior defensive lineman Alex Klorman (Las Vegas/Del Sol HS) in being elected from the defense.

On the other side of the ball, junior offensive lineman Cameron Jefferson (Las Vegas/Desert Oasis HS) and sophomore quarterback Nick Sherry (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande HS) were named to help lead the team this fall.

UNLV kicks off its season Thursday by traveling to Big Ten Conference member Minnesota for the first time.

Individual tickets for all seven of UNLV's 2013 home football games are now on sale, while season tickets for the Rebels are also still available.
