Oct. 25, 2014 LV Collegiate Showdown Facts
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - No. 13 UNLV women's golf will resume its 2014-15 season by hosting the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown on October 26-28.
The 54-hole event will be played at the par-72, 6,230-yard Boulder Creek Country Club with live scoring provided by BirdieFire. Teams will play the front nine each day on the Desert Hawk course and will play the back nine on the Coyote Run course.
Play will begin with the first round on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. PT. The Rebels will be paired with Minnesota and Colorado State for the opening round and will tee off at 8:24 a.m. PT.
Competing for the Rebels this week will be senior Dana Finkelstein, freshman Mackenzie Raim, freshman Harley Dubsky, senior Mayko Chwen Wang and sophomore Vivian Hsuan Chen. Senior Marguerite Swearingen and sophomore Avery French will also be competing as individuals.
The Rebels will be part of an 18-team field that includes Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Indiana, Long Beach State, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Reno, New Mexico State, North Texas, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Tulsa, UC Riverside and Washington State.
Admission to the tournament is free and fans are invited to attend.
