Football Announces 2015 Schedule Change

Nov. 13, 2014

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The BYU at UNLV football game scheduled for Nov. 14, 2015, is being rescheduled and the Rebels will instead host an FCS team as their fourth non-conference opponent next season, UNLV Director of Athletics Tina Kunzer-Murphy announced Thursday.

The Cougars, who host the Rebels on Saturday at 4 p.m. PT on ESPNU, will now return the trip and appear at Sam Boyd Stadium in either 2016 or 2017.

"We were approached about postponing the BYU game so that the Cougars could play Missouri at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and we agreed to the change because it helps all sides," Kunzer-Murphy said. "Our schedule is loaded in 2015, including a great lineup at home, so pushing BYU back a bit helps bolster our future non-conference matchups. We'll announce a new date to host the Cougars and also a new team to play during the 2015 season soon."

UNLV's 2015 schedule could be one of its most challenging in history as the home slate includes UCLA's first-ever visit and Mountain West games against Boise State, Hawai'i, San Diego State and San Jose State. The away schedule will see the Rebels visit Michigan and Northern Illinois along with league opponents Colorado State, Wyoming, Fresno State and in-state rival Nevada, Reno.
