LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team received two signed national letters of intent head coach Amy Bush-Herzer announced on Friday. Texie June Petchel and Alyssa Getty become the third and fourth, respectively, signees this fall and will be eligible for the Rebels starting with the 2015-16 season.

Petchel is a senior at Vista Murrieta High School in Murrieta, Calif. and is a four-year letterwinner on the girl's golf team. She led the Broncos in nine-hole scoring average all four years. She holds the school's nine-hole record of 3-under-par 33 and 18-hole record of 6-under 66.

"We are excited for Texie to join our team," Bush-Herzer said. "She is a great player and natural leader that brings tremendous experience and a commitment to our team."

Petchel has captured multiple championships and was also named the 2011 and 2012 Future Champions Golf Player of the Year.

Getty is a senior at Kingsville District High School in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada. She played three years for the Cavaliers and spent this fall with Team Canada on the Maple Leaf Junior Tour in Australia, where she won her age division in a play-off at the Jack Newton Srixon International Junior Classic. Getty is also a member of Team Ontario, which is an elite Provincial High Performance Amateur Golf Team. Golfweek ranks her as the No. 45 recruit in the 2015 class and the No. 3 recruit from Canada.

"Alyssa will bring great tournament and team experience to our program," Bush-Herzer said. "We are excited that she is going to be a Rebel."

Getty has captured over 100 victories in her junior golf career and was named the Windsor-Essex Sports Person of the Year for a female golfer in 2013 and 2014, which is voted on by the community. She was awarded the Order of Merit from the Golf Association of Ontario in 2013 and 2014 and was twice nominated for the AJGA President's Leadership Award.

The pair joins Kaylee Benton and Shannon Oh, who signed with UNLV earlier in the week, and complete the 2014 recruiting class for the Rebels.
